Meet the Team
At my firm, I have the client—and only the client—in mind.
My reasons for becoming a financial professional is deeply personal. I repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. I am confident that with my understanding of personal finance, coupled with my training as a financial professional, I can help people better prepare for the future. I work with clients to explore how their finances can reflect their personal values and community commitments, aiming to offer thoughtful support throughout their planning process.
Over the years, I have found that a team approach can be an effective method to help clients who have a wide variety of needs as they maneuver through a complex financial-services world. I invite you to discover and experience the power of my services. I believe it has far-reaching benefits for my clients to get opinions from several sources with diverse backgrounds, education, and experience.
No one strategy fits everyone, which is why every client gets my undivided attention—from planning to execution to follow-up. I take a proactive approach to helping you develop a strategy to address your financial goals and objectives, using the most efficient methods available.
George Black
Financial Planner
Growing up in Vermont, I quickly learned how unpredictable life can be—especially when it comes to the weather. That early lesson instilled in me a mindset of preparedness, which continues to guide me today. As I transitioned into adulthood, I found that same unpredictability echoed in the world of personal finance. What began as a necessity soon became a passion: helping families and business owners plan for the unknown so they can face the future with confidence.
Before entering the world of financial planning, I spent five years in residential real estate. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for the emotional side of major financial decisions—from purchasing a home to saying goodbye to one. I now bring that same empathetic, practical guidance to my work in finance, helping clients navigate both the short- and long-term impact of their choices.
Outside of the office, I’m always looking to connect with others—whether through local business events, volunteer work, or community activities. In the winter, you’ll find me racing in the Thursday night Corporate Ski League at Bolton Valley on my telemark skis. In the warmer months, I’m often out on my bike, taking in the sunsets over Lake Champlain.
